Start your foiling adventure with a Tow Foil lesson

Why Tow Foil?

Tow Foiling is the most efficient way to learn and understand the mechanics of a foil. A Tow Foil lesson creates a controlled environment, giving you the freedom to completely focus on the board. It's the best place to start, or a great place to revisit if you've already tried foiling but aren't seeing much progress.

Who are Tow Foil Lessons for?

Beginners: If you've had some experience with surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, or foiling, you'll quickly grasp the body mechanics needed to make the foil soar. Even if you're new to these activities and lack standing balance, foiling while lying or kneeling can still be a blast.

Intermediate: If you're already foiling but haven't quite mastered pumping and catching waves, our lessons can be a game-changer for you.

What to Expect

Each lesson is tow-based and carried out by boat, pulling one or two participants in rotation for two hours. If you're learning solo, we'll pair you up with another student, or you can bring a friend! 

What's Included

• Best-in-class foil equipment
• SUP or prone/surf boards
• Helmets for safety
• Impact vests/buoyancy aids
• All necessary rescue and first aid gear

You just need to bring yourself and a suitable wetsuit.

Bring Your Own Gear (Optional)

Feel free to use your own equipment, but please ensure you're physically fit and confident in your swimming abilities since you may need to swim during the session. You'll receive high-quality advice, hints, and tips from our local instructor with over 20 years of experience as a kiteboarder and surf foiler. 

Location

Sessions take place (mostly) at Whites Beach in Torquay on the Surf Coast in Victoria, an ideal location for flat water lessons behind the boat.
